Summer jobs

If you find yourself with plenty of spare time and a need for money, why not get yourself a summer job? There are likely to be a number of these available in your local area, and it’s a great way to get yourself a bit of extra money. It can also provide you with something to fill the potentially empty days of a summer break.

Many small jobs will pop up in the summer due to the better weather, such as grass cutting and gardening jobs, or car washes. These can provide a bit of extra cash, or if you want to earn more, you could try to get seven-hour shifts at proper stores and warehouses.

You could even do some work abroad for the summer, with options including summer camps or bar work at party resorts such as Ibiza, Magaluf, Malia, Kavos and more. There are a few companies that offer summer work abroad, such as Camp America. However, it is worth remembering that these are often unpaid and actually cost you money. Make sure you don’t rush into any decisions, and talk it through with your parents or guardians first.
