Colleges and Sixth Form > Got my A-Level grades

You've got your A Level or other college qualification results, now what?

Remember that you chose a first and insurance university choice through UCAS? Well this is where it comes in!

Have you got the grades needed by your FIRST CHOICE university?

- Excellent!
- You'll now officially be accepted by your university!

Just missed out on the grades needed by your FIRST CHOICE university?

- Don't worry!
- Call the university directly to see if they still have accepted you. Most of them do if you're only one or two grades off.

Have you NOT got the grades needed by your FIRST CHOICE university but the grades for your INSURANCE CHOICE?

- If you've phoned up your first choice university and they've denied your place you are now officially obliged to go to your insurance choice

If you haven't got the grades needed by either first or second choice:

  • Don't worry!
  • Use UCAS clearing to see where there is a place
  • You may instead want to take a gap year or feel that education isn't for you!
